People get confused as to why I would give them such an in-depth look at how I use the internet to my Business Advantage. It’s really no surprise, I want to add value back to my community and showing people how I do it for my business really gives an insight on how I am able to generate a ton of content without any friction for my audience so whether it’s someone in my audience who wants to consume my content through Short Form Video, Longform Video, Pictures, Graphics, Video Podcast, Audio Podcast, or the written word like this, it’s very easy for them to consume.

I asked my Content Writer to write this article from her own point of view on how Fiverr can be a viable option for your business. Sorry everyone, I’m not sharing her information because she was very hard to find and someone I love working with.

“Hi there! Allow me to introduce myself — my name is “FIVERR” and I am a freelancer on Fiverr. My job? Writing. And you guessed it — one of those people I write for is your very own Joshua Moroles — because as he tells me he “can’t write worth sh*t”.

Luckily for Josh — I am a fantastic writer (or so I’m told). I’m also a great typist — over 80 words per minute — a skill I’m very proud of! Put these two skills together and what do you get? A great recipe for a Freelance writer. And Fiverr is where I choose to utilize my skills.

But what exactly is Fiverr?

In simple terms, it’s a freelance marketplace. This means that freelancers, or people that are self-employed, can go on Fiverr to find work. It also means that business owners and entrepreneurs can go on to find workers or freelancers. Work can be either short or long term depending on the needs of the buyer.

How does it work?

On Fiverr, you can sign up as a buyer or a seller. In my case, Josh is the buyer and I am the seller. I sell what is known as a “Gig”. Gigs can come in all types and forms, but in my case, the Gig is an “article”. There are many different article styles that you could write, but specifically, I prefer formal articles or blog-style articles — so that’s what I sell. I set my own price and then post my Gig on Fiverr for buyers to find.

I’ve been writing on Fiverr for many years now, and this year Josh found me. He purchased my Gig once and I’ve been writing for him ever since.

Of course, a Gig doesn’t necessarily mean content writing. On Fiverr you can find Gigs for almost anything — professional video making, digital marketing, music and audio, influencers, the list goes on and on — you can even find Gigs for things like relationship advice and psychic mediums!

Who uses Fiverr?

Anyone can use Fiverr but it’s most commonly used by entrepreneurs, business owners, and freelancers. As a buyer, I’m sure hiring a freelancer can be scary. If I were thinking about hiring a freelancer my first thought would be, “if they are so good at what they do, why don’t they have a job or career?” Well, there are lots of reasons that someone may become a freelancer as opposed to having a full time “real world” career.

For me, freelancing is something I do in my spare time. I’m lucky enough that I don’t have to work, but I need something to entertain my mind — so I write to keep busy. Some other people choose freelancing because of the freedom that comes along with it. You can set your own hours and can work from wherever you want. This is why so many travelers choose to freelance as their career.

Does freelancing mean you don’t have skills or education? Absolutely not. I have graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from one of the top Universities in Canada. I am well-educated, well-versed, and have held many full-time careers. But now that I am a full-time mommy, I choose not to work full time. Rather, I freelance.

So to ease your mind, freelancing doesn’t necessarily mean uneducated or unskilled. It just means it’s an alternative option for freedom to work when and where you want — a lifestyle that is desirable to many qualified workers!

What are the benefits of hiring a freelancer on Fiverr?

1) You can choose your own budget

On Fiverr, there are all different types of Gigs and everyone sets their own price. For example, let’s say you are looking for a content writer (like me). There are thousands of content writers on Fiverr, each one sets their own price. Some people will charge $5 for 500 words, others will charge $10 for 500 words, and others will charge up to $50 or more for 500 words — and you get to pick which budget works the best for you. If you don’t like the cost that one seller charges, there will always be another seller out there that will charge less.

Note: Fiverr also allows buyers to post requests where they can post a “job” and set their own budget. Only freelancers who are willing to work within that budget can respond to the post.

2) Access to worldwide employees

When you hire in-person employees, you are limited to people who work within your general vicinity. In some cases, this can limit what you find in terms of talent. But when you hire a freelancer on Fiverr, you have access to an infinite pool of potential candidates from around the world. That means more talent at a fraction of the cost.

3) High-quality content

As a Freelancer, the relationships that I generate are everything. I work for myself, so it’s my job to build my own brand and develop my own relationships. If my buyers aren’t happy with my work, they will simply move on and pick someone else to write for them (because they have thousands of choices). If they are happy with my work, they will hopefully hire me again and, in some cases, we can develop a long term working relationship (as I have with Josh). So inevitably, I strive to keep my buyers happy by producing high-quality content.

A word of caution though — while there are some great sellers on Fiverr, there are also some not-so-great sellers. Be sure to request work samples and check reviews before hiring anyone!

In conclusion, businesses and entrepreneurs are using services like Fiverr every day to find freelancers (like me) whom they can hire to complete jobs for them. It’s a great way to save some money and to dive into a pool of talent that you may not otherwise have access to in your hometown.” Fiverr Employee
